As the Founder and President of think tank Criterion Institute, Dr Joy Anderson has spent the last two decades helping investors, social change organizations and governments to think differently about finance. She has shaped the field of gender lens investing, pioneered approaches to integrating gender-based violence data into political risk methodologies, and authored numerous influential reports on using finance as a tool for social change.

She also hosts the Criterion Podcast, a series of open conversations with other innovative thinkers in finance. In 2021, Criterion received a major commitment from Global Affairs Canada to develop a global system of standards for the field of gender lens investing. Running throughout the institute's work is a deep understanding of systems change and power, and a commitment to inspire and include those who don't believe they have a voice or agency in financial systems.

Hany Assaad is the Co-founder of Avanz Capital Management LLC and the CEO and Managing Director of Avanz Capital Egypt, an Egyptian asset management company and a subsidiary of Avanz Capital Management LLC, established to manage fund-of-funds and other specialist private capital funds. Hany has been Chief Portfolio & Risk Officer of Avanz Capital since its establishment in 2011, and a member of the Investment Committees of the Avanz Capital funds. He leads the sourcing, screening, negotiation of investments, and portfolio management as well as the environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects, working with fund managers in emerging markets to incorporate responsible and sustainable investing in private capital investments, and to strategically and effectively target to deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals.

Hany has had a long career in emerging markets investments, including more than two decades at International Finance Corporation. He oversaw IFC’s funds business in several emerging market regions. He managed a substantial portfolio of funds and was a member of several advisory committees. He is a strong advocate of gender-lens investing and is committed to increasing the proportion of women in fund management teams and investment committees.

Sukhvir is a partner in Cadwalader's Financial Services Group. Combining her substantial experience as a banking and finance lawyer, Sukhvir advises and works with financial institutions on incorporating innovative financing and impact investment structures anchored in rigorous impact outcomes into mainstream transactions. She advises clients on ESG strategies, policies, disclosure and reporting, ESG-related transactions and products as well as integration of ESG into investment processes and systems.

Sukhvir plays an active role in developing the sustainable finance sector through the creation of strong partnerships and collaborations. Her work extends beyond purely legal including enabling her clients to engage with their customers and clients to create sustainable investment business models. Sukhvir believes that legal advice needs to be provided in the context of the wider ESG landscape, mainstream and impact investing, and she works closely with trade associations and industry bodies, standard setters, and data providers to deliver an end-to-end service for clients.

Sarah is Suzanne and Daniel's niece, and she joins Heading for Change’s Global Stewardship Circle with a background in Marketing providing valuable insights through her experience with Forbes working in digital marketing and social media. As a Gen Z, she is excited to offer her unique perspective on how to create a lasting impact with Heading for Change. Lisa L. K. Kleissner co-founded and chairs the boards of the KL Felicitas Foundation – a foundation that advocates its 100% impact investment strategy, and Hawaiʻi Investment Ready – an accelerator and fund building Hawaiʻi’s next inclusive impact economy. She is a board advisor and investment committee member of Aqua-Spark, a Netherlands-based global sustainable aqua-culture tech fund, and board member of Real Good Fish, a California-based community-supported fishery.

Lisa is co-founder and past board chair of the Toniic Institute, a global impact investor network, and The Philanthropy Workshop, a global philanthropy network. Lisa has researched and co-authored publications on impact investing practices and the use and movement of capital to effect change. She received her B Arch in Environmental Design from UH Mānoa and was the principal of The Kleissner Group, providing facility development services to technology and biotech startups in Silicon Valley.

Hedda Pahlson-Moller is the CEO of TIIME.org, an Impact Catalyst - Education, Advocacy and Advisory – building the impact investing field through private and public sector collaboration. She is a private investor, strategic advisor and adjunct professor committed to catalyzing a systemic shift towards impact finance since 2005 when she began her own journey into impact - leveraging critical lenses of gender, social justice and planetary health to expedite a just transition.

Hedda serves as an independent board director to family offices, private and public equity funds as well as NGOs. She has been an advisor and contributor to Gender-Smart Investing since 2018, contributing to the design and delivery of the summits from 2018 and is now a member of 2X Global.

Raya Papp is Founding Partner at SAGANA, a global impact investing and advisory firm where she focuses on Healthcare and Gender-Smart Investments. Raya also advises PE/VC funds in integrating a gender lens across their firm, investment processes and portfolio companies. She’s the Gender Advisor to fund manager Circulate Capital and she's passionate about her work with Cartier Women’s Initiative to support their program for women impact entrepreneurs. Raya was formerly Co-Head of Asia Pacific at LGT Impact managing the region's investment portfolio.

Raya began her career on Wall Street holding various positions in corporate finance and M&A at Morgan Stanley, Thomson Reuters and Deutsche Bank. She worked at tech start-up Priceline.com, closing two rounds of private equity and the IPO. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Laurie is an impact investment banker, board member and active contributor to the impact investing industry. She is CEO of Courageous Capital Advisors, LLC, an impact investing advisory firm providing targeted strategy, transaction and governance services. Laurie has been advancing gender lens investing for many years as an ally, advisor and field builder. Laurie serves as a non-executive director of British International Investment (formerly known as CDC) (the UK DFI), and Lendable, a global fintech lender. She is an Impact Advisor to the Future Fund of private equity firm EQT.

Laurie serves as Global Ambassador to the Global Steering Group on Impact Investing, is a member of the Advisory Council of the UK Impact Investing Institute and was a long-standing member of the GenderSmart Advisory Council. She is a Senior Fellow and Advisory Council member of Casei3 at the Fuqua Business School. Laurie is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Jackie is Head of Sustainability Strategy at Putnam Investments, leading ESG-focused business functions, including Stewardship, Engagement, Partnerships, and ESG Strategy and Integration.
